The lush Andean backdrop encapsulated the resilience of a people who have embraced life despite a dark past, evoking a sense of hope for the future. The hostel's ample social areas fostered connections with fellow travelers, reminiscent of community bonds in post-apartheid South Africa.Exploring the bohemian neighborhood nearby felt like strolling through the streets of a reawakening city. The well-maintained property, conveniently located near parks and cultural venues, hinted at a return to normalcy in the region. The staff's insider tips and assistance in arranging tours added a personal touch to my cultural immersion.I left with a renewed appreciation for Colombia's rich heritage and a sense of optimism for its evolving future.
